Every now and then, you stumble across something that’s perfect.

Last week, I mentioned the coffee table book that sits on my ottoman. The book is called “The Meaning of Life” and it’s a collection from a series in Esquire called “Things I’ve Learned.” With football season upon us, I went looking for a good football quote and turned to the page featuring Bobby Bowden. Before I go any further, let me just point out that this book was published in 2004, long before we know what we know now.

Here’s what I found:

“Courage is doing something you need to do that might get you hurt.”

I’ll just leave it at that.
