The argument that LeBron James and Chris Bosh conspired during free agency to create a super team, which many see as super villains, is a bit lost on me. I can’t find the kind of vitriol that some have expressed about this procedure. You know why? Because when I was in first grade, I wanted my dad to pick my best friend to be on our youth league basketball team. It’s not exactly the same because my best friend turned out to be terrible at basketball (though he is a great athlete and once ran in the 4×100 relay at the Texas UIL state track and field meet). The point is that we want to play sports with our friends on our team. That’s how Baylor’s Ahmad Dixon and Lache Seastrunk ended up being teammates and stars on a promising Baylor football squad.
